I know I am forgetting alot of info so if anyone has the time to help out I will answer any questions to try to get this working. Install the loader you want to use (I prefer usb loader gx) and any other apps you want into sd:/apps generally, and then drop your games onto a properly formatted (single partition fat32) hdd into their appropriate folders on the hdd.

How much should be FAT32? How much should be OSX Extended? -Currently I have a 32gb FAT32 partition & the rest, 167gb is OSX Extended-Ģ) Of those partitions does one of them need to be formatted as a WBFS partition using the Witgui app? If yes which?ģ) When using Witgui to try & transfer a Wii ISO (Metroid Prime Trilogy) from my iMac to my USB HDD which partition does the iso file go to? do I transfer it as an iso file or have Witgui convert it to a wbfs file? do I split the file? If yes to what size? what do I save the file as? ( I tried wbfs/MetroidPrime Trilogy /R3ME01 ) but still couldn't get anything up & running on the USB Loader Gx so.Ĥ) what should the settings on USB Loader GX be set to?ĥ) do I need to install ciOS 236? I have the files but the only instructionalvideos Ive found are for PC not iMac. Here are some random questions I THINK I need answered but I no longer know.ġ) how should the USB HDD be formatted? if u choose to install to a usb, u have to first format it to the normal wii-u format. u can install to the NAND as well using this method. Using a 128gb SD card I was able to get the Homebrew channel up & running with FCEUX, SNES9X, GenplusGX, Nintendont, Wiimednafen & Retroarch & this is the last step in this "gift" for them. To start playing, all you need to do is fire up the Wii Menu application from your Wii U Menu. I think the largest game on the system is xenoblade chronicles, and iirc, it's around 17GBs. I'm trying to do this for my girlfriend's children, whose father recently died. I know this will not provide enough info & I apologize, I'm just ready to punch a wall.
